High-Quality Motorsport K Type Thermocouple Temperature Sensor

The Aim cylinder head thermocouple (CHT) motorsport sensor allows you to measure cylinder head temperature when the sensor is placed between the spark plug and cylinder head.

Connections

To use the sensors with EVO4 and EVO4S data loggers, you will need a TC yellow 712 4 pin patch lead (metal binder plug). To use them with an Aim TC Hub, you will need a TC yellow 712 3 pin patch lead (metal binder plug).

MXS, MXG, MXP and EVO5 will require a TC - TC yellow patch lead. To connect the thermocouples to these Aim dash/loggers, you need to use the dedicated harness supplied with your device.

Installation

The Aim Cylinder Head 14mm thermocouple features a turn in its lower part for an easier installation/uninstallation; it has to fit between the spark plug and the cylinder head.

To keep the sensor in contact with the cylinder head, remove the washer from the plug when installing the thermocouple. While running the thermocouple cable along with the chassis, keep it as far as possible from other lines (like RPM or lap receiver ones) to minimise cable interferences.

Please note: Before screwing the spark plug cable back ensure that the sensor is firmly fixed to the cylinder head. While screwing it, minimise the thermocouple movements to avoid damage to the sensor.
