The EVO5 Downhill Mountain Bike Data Logger Kit offers a light weight, full data logging facility for improving bike and rider performance. Suspension Sensor options included.            

The Kit includes: Aim EVO 5 Data Logger, 2 x patch leads to connect everything together, 1 x Light weight Lipo Battery and a Hall Speed sensor. There is the additional option of our superb video logger the Smartycam 84 Bullet camera which will show all your data on a video for superb analysis of your performance.

Mountain Bike Suspension Potentiometers are available for Front 200mm, and 250mm and for the rear 75mm and 100mm. They are used to measure the displacement between two points using a sensor (linear potentiometer) directly connected to the points of measure. This potentiometer can measure linear displacements like dampers compression or extension and steering rotation measured through the rack displacement

    GPS technology represents a true revolution in racing data acquisition.
    Now, thanks to GPS08 Module and Race Studio 3 software,  as soon as you start your track session you can immediately sample lap and split times as well as speed, position and acceleration, all the information needed for engine tuning as well as for improving your driver performance.

    Two satellite systems: top reliability and precision, the GPS08 is more precise than most of the existing GPS systems, as it has been designed to add to the GPS satellite's signal the Global Navigation Satellite (Glonass) system's signal. With an average of almost twenty satellites working in conjunction, GPS08 guarantees a precision and a reliability simply not comparable to the old generation GPS systems.

    Two digital outputs

    EVO5 features two digital outputs.The two digital outputs (Dout) are LOW SIDE
    type (switch to ground): they can be configured in order to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analogue or digital inputs.


    The Internal SD Card

    Allows you to record all possible data you may ever need. The card is protected by a waterproof door equipped with a sensor closing all files when you open it, to prevent any data loss possibility. There is no way to have a faster data downloading: you remove the SD and it is done.

    Technical & Installation

    For a correct EVO5 installation it is important to follow some simple rules.

    Carry out CAN, serial or K-line connection only AFTER performing the logger configuration with Race Studio 3. For a correct working of the integrated three-axial accelerometer and gyroscope, EVO5 is to be placed in a central position of the bike (ideally in the bikes centre of gravity). 

    GPS module is not to be positioned under metal or carbon fibre objects, which would greatly reduce the satellite signal quality. Also avoid the positioning close to other antennas, digital cameras or TFT displays. Finally, avoid installing the product with tense cables.
