AiM Optical Lap Transmitter

The beacon transmitter may be powered by the internal battery pack, composed of 8 AA batteries (not included), or by a 12V external power source using the supplied lead.
Please Note: Infrared receivers are available to purchase in our accessories tab. The IR pickup sensor is available in a 4 pin 712 metal connector or a 4 pin 719 plastic connector and needs to be pointed to the side of the track where the transmitter is installed to see it.
Installation
The beacon transmitter needs to be installed on the side of the track
Ensure it faces the track
Be sure to fix securely to avoid movements or false lap signals, then switch on
The beacon transmitter has two operating modes: Low power and HIGH power.
Low power is used when the track is less than 10m (30ft) wide
High power is used when the track is up to 20m (60ft) wide.
When the beacon transmitter is working on high power both of the LEDs on the device will start to blink, in this case, it is recommended to power the beacon using a 12V external battery.
