The new F88GDI4L ECU sets the benchmark for integrated direct injection engine management. Based on the F88 architecture with the F88GDI4L, there is no means of compromise. The F88GDI4L control unit features efficient use of I/O complement specifically designed for modern engines up to 4-cylinders yet cost-effective for GDI and CI applications.

The F88GDI4L is designed to drive all solenoid Direct Injection (DI) injectors, including all production parts from Ford, GM, Siemens, Hitachi and Bosch (including Bosch Motorsport types) without the need for an external driver module.

The new F88GDI4L ECU sets the benchmark for integrated direct injection engine management. Based on the F88 architecture with the F88GDI4L, there is no means of compromise. The F88GDI4L control unit features efficient use of I/O complement specifically designed for modern engines up to 4-cylinders yet cost-effective for GDI and CI applications that do not require the complexity of the F90 series controllers.

The twin processor F88GDI4L uses a high-speed RISC processor for code execution and an additional sizeable co-processing logic array for high speed, precision accuracy engine position tracking. This powerful combination also allows advanced control algorithms whilst remaining easy to calibrate.

The F88GDI4L is designed to drive all solenoid Direct Injection (DI) injectors, including all production parts from Ford, GM, Siemens, Hitachi and Bosch (including Bosch Motorsport types) without the need for an external driver module. Standard strategies accommodate the following engines and functions:- Normally Aspirated, Turbocharged, Supercharged, Drive-by-Wire (DBW), Knock Control, Traction Control (TC), Anti-Lag System (ALS), Twin-Cam VVT, VTec, GearCut and GearBlip, Differential control plus other known engines/transmission facilities. In addition, the internal data-logging coupled with a unique crank and cam sync-logger allows detailed review of input, control signals to make fault diagnosis simple and effective.

  • This equipment comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects and failures; however, misuse or damage will not be covered under warranty.
  • Warranty may be extended on an annual basis via a system refurbishment scheme.
  • This ECU contains a battery that can be returned to Life Racing for a replacement. A charge may be made for this service.
