Smartycam GPHD 84° Mountain Bike Bullet Camera is a professional on-board racing camera with data overlay with remote bullet-cam.
SmartyCam GP HD Mountain Bike Bullet Camera has been designed for the rigours of sport racing with the single purpose of providing great videos that include all the technical information that will help you improve your performance.
SmartyCam GP HD Mountain Bike Bullet Camera overlays all the data you need from different sources. From GPS: track map and position, as well as speed and split times. From Aim Data loggers via additional sensors - their values. All these info will be overlayed on videos in each single point of the track. Here is just an example among the many available:
The video of a whole session, once downloaded on your PC, can now be split - with a simple click - in individual videos of each lap: so that you can simultaneously watch two of them and check where you were faster or slower. The same operation can be performed with any SmartyCam GP HD video recorded on the same track: you will be able to compare your best lap with your friends personal best!
You are on the starting grid, ready to sprint, your adrenaline reaching the climax: the last thing you can worry about is... switching on the camera. You have other things to worry about.
That is why SmartyCam GP HD Mountain Bike Bullet Camera can be switched on/off automatically by the logger it is connected to: simply decide after what period of non-activity the camera will have to switch-off. Both operations can also be carried out using the keyboard, if you prefer.
Recording can also be started/stopped automatically or via keyboard: the camera will start recording when the speed or RPM threshold is exceeded.
You simply decide how long after dropping below the selected threshold the video will automatically stop.
Unlike generic multipurpose cameras, SmartyCam GP HD has been designed to avoid the problem of image distortion, thanks to the innovative Global Shutter CMOS sensor. The camera shutter captures the entire image at the same time, not "pixel by pixel" like traditional sensors. The result is that images are captured at once and are not affected by the vibrations that happen on a racing vehicle, which create the so-called "wave effect".
Generic action cameras are designed to record videos in many different situations, such as skiing or surfing, biking , downhill tend to record misleading videos. Being a camera dedicated to extreme sports, the SmartyCam GP HD features lenses specifically designed to avoid distortion.
The wide HFOV lens is specific where it is possible to have a more wider view of the track ahead and there is no risk of black frames.
HD cameras competition is focused on the highest pixel number. The result is that their video files are far too large, taking too much memory. SmartyCam GP HD videos have the same quality as other HD cameras but their files are smaller because the H264 compression system parameters have been optimised to a perfect balance between video quality and file size.
You can choose among three video file quality levels: one-hour recording takes 4GB (high quality), 2GB (normal) or 1,5GB (low). Files are stored on SD cards: with current SD cards reaching 128GB capacity, you can record more than 30 hours of high-quality videos without changing the card.
