SmartyCam 3 GP 2.2 & Solo 2 DL Trackday Kit
This kit is a must for competitive race testing and track days. The kit combines the Solo 2 DL data logging lap timer and the SmartyCam 3 GP with a choice of three different lens options depending on your requirements. With this kit, you can fine-tune your parameters using Race Studio 3 software. Review your speed, engine revs, and G-force against track position. This allows you to see where your lap time can be improved.
Using highly accurate GPS and Glonass technology, the Solo 2 DL lap timer provides you with key information like lap times, lap count and predictive lap times. With over 4,000 tracks already in the database from across the globe, you can automatically select your nearest track based on your current position.
The SmartyCam 3 GP is an incredibly compact and robust video camera, which has been designed to provide great videos of your racing and include all the technical information you need to help improve your performance on race and track days. The SmartyCam 3 GP has a wide TFT colour display. SmartyCam 3 GP features a video output with SD interface. It allows you to send the video/audio directly to wherever you choose, for example, your pit crew, at 30 or 60fps. Intelligent settings allow the camera to automatically start/stop recording by using the inbuilt axis accelerometer, so you can concentrate on the track and not the camera, and immediate playback helps with setting up.
ECU Connection
The Solo 2 DL is capable of being connected to the cars ECU to obtain various data coming from the sensors you have fitted to your vehicle. Solo 2 DL manages all the hardware ECU connections as well as all the communication lines: depending on whether you want to connect to the ECU using the OBDII port, or directly to the ECU through the CAN/RS232 channel. In the unlikely event your particular ECU protocol is not supported, you can connect the Solo 2 DL to a coil RPM which provides a digital input delivered from square wave signals or pulse signals.
The sampled data you record depends on the actual ECU but typically includes RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), oil, air, water temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, speed, gear and lambda value (air/fuel). The list of ECUs is forever growing and being updated.
We have a large range of brackets available for you to mount your recording box and bullet cam where best suits you and your car. Our brackets are strong and robust and allow for the bullet cam to be placed inside or outside of your car. The Solo 2 DL also has a choice of three brackets for fixing it to your car, choose the option from our accessories which suits your setup best.
Predictive Lap Timer
The GPS technology provides better reliability from the predictive lap timing function so you can see in real time how your current lap compares to your best lap. The LEDs are also configurable to give a visual indication of whether you are quicker or slower. You can custom-build the layout of the display to show the data you want to see.
Real Time Overlay
The SmartyCam 3 GP automatically overlays on your video all the data you need, including speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts and much more. You can choose the graphical layout to suit your requirements by choosing from the many different overlays available.
CMOS Sensor & Lens
The SmartyCam 3 GP includes a global shutter CMOS sensor and a low distortion lens with a field of view of 67°, 84° or 120° covering all areas, its lightweight 200g (battery included) framework is infallible in providing you with smooth and effortless footage.
Designed for extreme conditions
The SmartyCam 3 GP has been designed to work under the pressure of extreme motorsport conditions such as poor weather, strong and prolonged vibrations, continuous rain and extreme high and low temperatures. The SmartyCam 3 GP is made in machinery moulded aluminium.
Automatic Start/Stop
When you're at the starting grid, the last thing you want to be doing is fumbling around with your camera. The SmartyCam 3 GP has been designed with this in mind and switches on/off automatically and starts/stops recording in the same way.
The SmartyCam 3 GP can be switched on by the logger it is connected to. Switch-off is automatic too, you decide after what period of non-activity the camera will switch off.
Recording can also be started/stopped automatically or via the keyboard. With an automatic switch-on, the camera will start recording when the speed or RPM threshold is exceeded. In this case, you can simply decide how long after dropping below the selected threshold the video will automatically stop.
Higher Storage Capacity
Using a compression system that has been optimised to provide the perfect balance between video quality and file size. Video is stored on an SD card and you can select 3 different recording quality options: High quality, 1 hour = 4GB, Standard quality - 1 hour = 2GB, and Low quality - 1 hour = 1.5GB. This means that with a 128GB SD card, you can store over 32 hours of footage.
The USB port and SD card housing are 100% protected from air and weathering.

Configure & Analyse with Race Studio 3
Configuration
With Race Studio 3 you can create, modify, delete, import and export configurations with all channels, ECU drivers, Math channels, Display Pages, Digital outputs, Alarms, Shift Lights and all the expansions you need.
Analysis
Race Studio 3 also allows you to download and analyse all data recorded by your Track Day Kit to your laptop/PC. With graphs, histograms and tables, you can study your lap and sector times to refine racing lines and braking points to enhance your racing performance.
