RPM-CAN Converter

The RPM-CAN Converter has been designed to get the RPM value from vehicles without an ECU. It has been specifically designed to work in conjunction with the PDM08 and PDM32.

Why Choose the Aim RPM-CAN Converter

The RPM-CAN Converter is designed to read the RPM signal of an engine and transmit it as a CAN message, transmitting the RPM value on the CAN bus. It can be easily connected to an Aim PDM to make installation easier on vintage or muscle cars and on all vehicles without an ECU.

The RPM-CAN Converter can read the signal from the low voltage (150 to 400V) and a square wave signal (5 to 50V).

  • A square wave signal (5 to 50V)

Transmit the RPM value on the CAN-BUS using the following protocol:

  • Rate: 1 Mbit/s
  • ID CAN: 0x200
  • Endianness: Little Endian
  • Start Bit: 0
  • Length: 32-bit

Wires:

  • White Wire - CAN HIGH
  • Blue Wire - CAN LOW
  • Red Wire - 9-15V POWER IN
  • Black Wire - GND
  • RPM INPUT - White Wire
