Choose Your GT32 Version
Standalone: GT32 is available in a completely standalone version that connects via CAN to any ECU.
Expansion: GT32 CAN Open Steering Wheel is available as an expansion for the PDM32/08 Power Distribution Module, providing seamless integration into a complete Aim electronics system.
Push Button Configuration
Every LED and button can be fully configured in Race Studio 3 to match your exact requirements:
- Momentary: Active only while the button is pressed.
- Toggle: Switches state (ON/OFF) with each press.
- Multi-Status: Cycles through values or states with successive presses.
Additional configuration options include response based on press length or predefined conditions.
CAN Output
The CAN output function allows full customisation of how data from the steering wheel is transmitted. Settings include:
- Number of bytes allocated
- Data length code
- Byte order
- Frequency from 1Hz to 100Hz
CAN Messages Configuration
The GT32 Steering Wheel transmits button and switch statuses, either at fixed frequencies or whenever a change occurs. CAN message parameters such as frequency, IDs, baud rate, endianness, and content can all be freely configured. Button states at power OFF can be restored at the next power ON.
In standalone mode, the GT32 Steering Wheel can also manage a CAN input protocol, providing LED feedback (such as colour changes) based on received information.
Expand Your System
Additional accessories can be added to your GT32 to expand the system
capabilities:
- Additional Controls: In expansion mode, the GT32 can also manage an Aim display connected to a PDM32 or PDM08 Power Distribution Module.
- Replaceable Inserts: A wide range of inserts are included in the kit, allowing you to customise the GT32 to your specific needs.
- Custom LED Backlighting: RGB LEDs can be managed through math channels, triggered by push button status or feedback from external devices. They can be set as solid or blinking at variable frequencies and brightness levels.
- Precise & Solid Shifting: The new optional magnetic carbon fibre paddle shifters deliver high accuracy and tactile feedback, providing confidence during both upshifts and downshifts. Shifters can be configured through dedicated free contact pins or CAN message communication.
