Advanced CAN Open Keypad
Please Note: Open devices must be programmed in Race Studio 3 via USB to enable them to transmit data on non-preset CAN IDs.
The Aim CAN Open Keypad, just like GPS09 or ACC 3, are available in an "Open Version". These keypads can be easily configured via USB with our free Race Studio 3 performance analysis software for transmitting the data via CAN to every external device. The Aim CAN Open Keypads are water and dust resistant and can be installed both inside and outside the cockpit. They are fully customisable and proposed with a wide range of interchangeable inserts.
This Open version can also be used as an Aim Expansion, without any issues or limitations. The keypads will enable you to have your very own selected buttons at your fingertips. Available in 6, 8 and 15-key.
Please Note: The keypads come blank with no inserts, of which we have an extensive range available.
Configuration
The push buttons can be configured to indicate status:
- Momentary: The push button status is on when the push button is pushed.
- Toggle: The push button status changes from on to off every time the push button is pushed.
- Multi-status: The push button value changes from 0 to a max value every time the push button is pushed.
CAN Messages Configuration
The status of the push buttons is transmitted at a fixed frequency and/or whenever it changes. The CAN messages can be configured by frequency, ID, baud rate, endianness, and contents.
The status of each push button when the power is turned OFF can be retained until the next power ON.
Aim CAN Open Keypads can also process a CAN INPUT protocol to provide feedback through the coloured LEDs based on the information received.
RGB LEDs
Every push button can be illuminated in 1 of 8 different colours, solid or blinking, according to the configuration defined by the user.
CAN Open Features
Aim CAN Open Keypads can be connected to the Aim master devices such as dashes, dash loggers and PDMs, and they can be freely configurable as an expansion using our free Race Studio 3 performance analysis software.
Additional Controls
In addition to the primary functionality of the buttons, Aim CAN Open Keypads buttons can be set up for managing any Aim display connected to the devices.
