Draw Wire Position Sensor String Pot 750mm

Once installed and configured in Race Studio, you can log and analyse the movement data alongside all your other channels, giving you a clear picture of how your car or bike is behaving on track. The Draw Wire Position Sensor String Pot provides precise, repeatable linear position data; is easy to install and route in tight spaces; works in harsh environments, and integrates directly with Aim data systems via an analogue input.

The Draw Wire Position Sensor consists of a spring-loaded spool with a thin, durable wire (the "string") attached. One end of the sensor is fixed to the chassis or a reference point, and the wire is attached to the moving part you want to measure (like a suspension arm). As the component moves, the wire extends or retracts, turning the spool inside the sensor. This movement is converted into a variable electrical signal (usually a changing resistance or voltage), which your Aim logger or dash reads as a position value.

Please Note: Mount the sensor through three screws M2.5 DIN 931 or mounting clamps. The sensor does not have to be oriented in a particular way. Choose the installation position so that damage and soiling of the measuring wire are avoided.
