Power Your System
The Aim SmartyCam CAN Bus Cable provides a constant power supply from an external Aim device, with a female jack plug for an external microphone to be connected. The cable is available in 2 or 4 metre lengths and is compatible with the Aim SmartyCam 2.1 HD models.
Why Choose the SmartyCam External Power Cable
This connection cable is required if you are connecting the SmartyCam 2.1 camera to a logger or dash, as the power will be supplied to the camera through the CAN bus connection. It features a 7-pin and 5-pin 712 male binder on either end to connect the devices. The female 3.5mm jack allows you to connect an on-board radio to an intercom system (additional cable may be required depending on your radio/intercom).
Please Note: The Aim SmartyCam 7-Pin to 5-Pin CAN Bus Cable & Female Jack Plug for External Microphone is ONLY compatible with the SmartyCam 2.1 models. It cannot be used with newer SmartyCam models.
