Aim Hall-hastighedssensor

The Aim Speed Pick-Up Sensor operates using a Hall Effect; inside the sensor, a small thin piece of semiconductor material carries a constant electrical current. When this material is exposed to a magnetic field (such as when the trigger passes by), the movement of electrons within it changes - they are pushed to one side of the material, creating a small voltage difference called the Hall voltage.

This voltage is then converted into a digital signal - a square wave - that the data logger or ECU (Engine Control Unit) can interpret as pulses. Each pulse represents one pass of the trigger, allowing the system to calculate rotational speed (RPM) or linear speed, depending on where the sensor is mounted.

Please Note: There will be a flashing light on the back of the sensor when it is in contact with metal - you can perform this as a test to be sure that the sensor is ready for installation.

The Aim Hall Effect Speed Pick-Up Sensor comes with a 2m cable and a choice of a 712 metal connector or a 719 plastic connector. The sensor ending with the plastic binder can be connected with MXL2, MXG, MXS, MXS Strada, MXL Pista/Pro, Channel Expansion, EVO4, EVO4S and EVO4/split cable. The sensor ending with the metal binder can also be connected with the Channel Expansion, EVO4 and EVO4S.
