Infrared Tyre Temperature Sensor
The Aim Infrared (IR) tyre temperature sensors have 4-pin black 719 binder plug connection to fit all Aim loggers and dash display/loggers.
The compact IR sensor enables contact-free tyre temperature measurements at distances ranging from 30 to 150mm. An ideal car set-up would be three sensors per tyre (inside, centre and outside). However, 1 per tyre can also be helpful if budget or channel input constraints dictate this. The temperature range is 0–150ºC with a cable length of 25cm.
Ensure to place the sensor far from strong heat sources like the exhaust pipe and electromagnetic interference.
Connections
MXS / MXP / MXG / MXL (Strada and Pista) / MXL2 / EVO5 / MXm etc harnesses are fitted with 719 connections. To extend the length between your dash display/logger and the analogue sensor, please use the 719-719 patch lead, which is available in various lengths from 0.5 - 3 metres. For most installations, you will need one of these leads.
EVO4 / EVO4S logger / Channel Expansion are fitted with 712 connections and require a 712-719 patch lead to connect these sensors.
