Link Knock Sensor

“Knocking” occurs when the air-fuel mixture self-ignites prematurely. Sustained knocking causes damage primarily to the cylinder head gasket and cylinder head. The knock sensor identifies the high-frequency engine vibrations characteristic of knocking and transmits a signal to the ECU.

The aim of the knock sensor is to obtain the maximum energy yield by starting ignition as early as possible. Engines with a knock sensor can reduce fuel consumption and increase torque.

Why Choose the Link Knock Sensor

This doughnut-style 8mm knock sensor can be connected directly to a Link ECU or used with the G4 KnockLink visual warning light for precise and responsive knock detection. It also comes with a plug and pin kit.

Please Note: The Link knock sensor (KNS) does not come pre-wired with a loom and flying leads for easy installation. The knock sensor with loom or the G4 KnockLink kit can be purchased separately.
