Advanced Power Distribution Module
The Aim PDM08 is an 8-channel advanced power distribution module designed to power a multitude of vehicle circuits, removing the need for traditional fuse boxes and relays. It allows for a simplified wiring harness with increased reliability and control functions.

Why Choose the PDM08
The PDM08 is available on its own or with a choice of 5", 6" or 10" dash displays. It also capable of receiving data from the vehicles ECU and even comes with an optional data logger and GPS module for lap timing and track mapping.
With a total continuous max current of 100A, each of the outputs provides feedback to the data logger to provide vital information such as open circuits, short circuits, high/low voltage, the number of fault retires and the time between the reties is user definable. All outputs can be configured as PWM's for a soft start/stop. All of the PDM circuits can be set up and monitored via the Race Studio 3 software.
PDM08 Data Management
The PDM08 can receive and record data from the following sources:
- ECU: Over 1,000 protocols available
- Digital/analogue inputs
- Internal 9-axis EMU
- GPS: Lap time and position
- Expansion Modules
- Push buttons from RIO02 (Remote Input Output module) or any commercial CAN keypad
- PDM Outputs: Currents and status of each channel individually
- Other user-defined math channels

PDM Dash Displays
The PDM displays are TFT dash displays suitable for replacing all of the dashboard gauges and warning lamps.
The displays are available in 5", 6" or 10" versions and with "Road" or "Race" icons. Road and Race icons allow you to apply conditions to the LED icons, such as fuel, engine, oil, lights, indication and more.
All versions have full user-configurable displays and offer a range of layouts.
Optional Wiring Solutions
A pre-assembled harness is available for a more straightforward wiring solution, colour-coded and tagged to provide the easiest installations.
GPS Options
The GPS09 module option provides easy lap timing and lap position for track mapping. The PDM has over 4,000 racetracks in the database, so once you arrive at the track, the system already knows the timing points so that you can get on with the driving.
The GPS09 module is available with various lead lengths to suit different applications and with cable entry from underneath (roof version) or the side.

Aim CAN Expansion Keypads
Have your very own selected buttons at your fingertips and gain control over your vehicle with a range of keypads. From simply turning on the engine, the fans or the indicators, to switching gears and more, you can program our range of keypad buttons to ensure seamless performance on the road or on the track.

Expand Your System
Pair your PDM with a dash of 5", 6" or 10", 2 camera inputs, and a GPS Module for lap timing and track mapping.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
What does a PDM do?
A power distribution module (PDM), sometimes referred to as a power distribution unit, manages and distributes electrical power to various devices such as lights, fans, pumps and more. It replaces the need for physical fuses and relays by integrating programmable circuits, which can be adjusted to suit the specific needs of your vehicle.
What is the best power distribution module?
At Aim, we have 2 PDM modules to suit different vehicle setups: PDM32, which has 32 output channels for more complex setups and PDM08, which has 8 output channels for simpler or compact setups. The 'best' PDM depends on how many outputs you need and the size of the setup.
How do PDMs improve vehicle performance?
PDMs enhance performance by delivering consistent power to critical systems. They allow precise control over when and how devices receive power, ensuring vehicle efficiency and reducing unnecessary electrical draw. The ability to monitor circuits in real time also helps teams quickly diagnose and resolve issues, minimising downtime during races.
Can PDMs be used on road cars?
Absolutely! Although PDMs are primarily used in motorsport applications, they can be used to replace traditional relay and fuse setups. In fact, PDMs can work with wipers, indicators and more.
Can I add more inputs to the PDM?
The PDM08 has 6 analogue or digital inputs and 2 speed. You can add a CAN Keyboard, giving between 4 and 15 buttons, wireless wheels giving up to 8 buttons and 2 rotary inputs, and RIO modules, which can give 8 high or low inputs and 11 low-only inputs.
Can indicators be set to auto-cancel in a road-legal car?
Yes, you can use the built-in logger roll, pitch and yaw to do this. The yaw increases when turning right and decreases when turning left. If you want the right indicator to cancel, you can use a function with yaw less than -5, and to cancel left turn, the function would have a yaw greater than 5.
If front wipers are on, can rear wipers come on when reverse is selected?
Absolutely! If the front wipers are on, you can configure the PDM to activate when reverse is selected to have front and rear wipers working at the same time. This will need to be configured in the PDM.
How do Aim PDMs work with a GPS Module?
Aim PDMs are specifically made to work with the GPS Module. The PDM integrates with the GPS technology to capture and record lap times during races, providing accurate positioning data that enhances overall performance analysis.
Are Aim PDMs compatible with TFT dash displays?
Yes, purpose-built TFT dash displays have been specifically designed for compatibility with the Aim PDM08 and PDM32. They display information coming from the PDM and are available in a range of sizes, with road or race icons.
