Whether you're on the track or on the road, the MX2E plug & play dash provides everything you need to enhance your driving experience.
For Lotus Elise & Exige
The MX2E is compatible with Lotus Elise and Exige dashes that are fitted with Toyota engines:
- 2004-2007: Requires an additional adapter harness (airbag-equipped cars only).
- 2008-2020: Direct fit.
Advanced Data Acquisition
The MX2E dash logger gathers data from the car’s ECU, the integrated GPS module and any additional sensors and modules. This data is then displayed directly on the Lotus dash in real time, displaying key performance metrics like RPM, throttle position, temperatures, pressures, lap times and more.
The included GPS module provides accurate GPS speed, lap timing, and track mapping. You can view this track data directly from the dash or transfer it via Wi-Fi connection to our Race Studio 3 Software for more in-depth analysis. This will allow you to visualise graphs, histograms and tables to compare lap and session performance.
Customisable Display & Integrated LEDs
The MX2E dash has 2 types of displays, both available with analogue or digital: road or track. There are 16 display layouts to choose from with 4 different colour options, which can be customised to suit your preferences.
There is also a wide range of icons available on the display, allowing you to easily see important information whilst you’re driving: rear fog light, position lights on, ABS on/malfunctioning, ABS off, hand brake, engine off, pressure low, seat belt not fastened, airbag off.
The MX2E dash features a total of 18 solid LEDs: left or right direction indicators, 10 shift lights LEDs and 6 status information LEDs showing hand brake on, fuel level low, immobiliser on, position lights on, high beam on and engine problems.
Delta Times
The Delta Times feature provides instant feedback on your performance, showing how your current timing compares to your best.
Set a reference lap and visualise where you are gaining and losing time. The integrated lights will display green or red accordingly.
Integrated Shift Lights & Customisable Alarms
The 10 multi-coloured RGB shift lights can be customised to your liking, defining the RPM threshold on analogue or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, math channels or optional GPS option. You can choose the conditions and colours, select a solid arm or a flashing one and the flashing frequency. You can also configure an accompanying text message and set the alarm priorities.
Expand Your System
The MX2E plug & play dash logger is compatible with various expansions and modules to enhance performance and expand on data collection. Compatible expansions include:
- Lambda Controller: Monitor your air-fuel ratio for optimal engine performance.
- SmartyCam Cameras: Integrate video with data overlay for comprehensive analysis. Analogue camera input also allows you to swap your display into a mirror camera through push button command or event management.

The MX2E is a plug & play dash logger that is specifically for the Lotus Elise and Exige models. The MX2E kit is designed to replace the factory dashboard, comes with all required fittings, a dash cluster and a GPS Module and can be paired with many other Aim products like the SmartyCam 3 Series, the ACC3 and a CAN Expansion Keypad to enhance performance and expand on data collection.

The MX2E has a fully customisable display and alarm system, as well as integrated LEDs, so it can meet your individual preferences and ensure that you can easily read your data on track. Its integrated shift lights can be personalised too, defining the RPM threshold on outputs, ECU values and more.
There are also delta times, which give instant insights into your performance on track by comparing your current lap to your best and showing exactly where you are losing or gaining seconds.
How is the MX2E installed in the Lotus dashboard?
The Aim MX2E dash is installed in the Lotus Elise / Exige (2004-2020) as a plug & play unit, typically requiring removal of the old dash, unscrewing four bolts, connecting it to the existing wiring harness and securing it to the cluster using the provided screws and fittings. For 2004–2007 airbag models, a specific adapter harness (V02593010) is required, which comes as an extra in the kit if selected.
