Tyre Pressure Monitoring System Set of 4 Sensors
If you’ve got a question, you’re looking for information, or you just want to chat, please find a host of available help options below.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensors
This set of 4 sensors has been designed for use with the Aim tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). They help provide real time alerts about low tyre pressure, reduce the risk of accidents, improve fuel efficiency, optimise tyre performance and extend tyre life.
Why Choose the TPMS Set of 4 Sensors
Spare sensors are ideal if you want to add a spare set of wheels for testing purposes or mid-race tyre changes. The whole purpose of using a tyre pressure monitoring sensor within each tyre is to monitor specific pressure levels, such as temperature readings. All the data is sent to the monitoring system where it can be analysed and interpreted.
With this technology, each sensor has its own serial number (ID), and this is how the system distinguishes between itself and other systems on other vehicles. Changes can then be made to improve the performance of your vehicle on track.
TPMS Sensor Features
Any of the spare sensors can be programmed with any of the serial numbers that have been allocated to the receiver. Sensor IDs of 2 unmounted wheels can be swapped. Sensors are supplied with an 11mm valve stem.
Aim displays and loggers will require a CAN Protocol, which can be obtained from the downloads tab to interface with the unit.
Please Note: The tyre pressure monitoring system can be used with most Aim dash loggers (except Solo 2).
Automatic Assignment of Sensor Location (AASL)
When sensors are located in a different position of your vehicle, you can reassign them to their new position using the TPMS handheld receiver (sold separately).
If the front wheels are swapped, this operation enables you to reallocate the sensor data in the receiver so that the valves for the front left sensor are now transmitted on the CAN ID for the front right. Consequently, the sensor data that is viewed on the dashboard and logged is correct and will appear as the front right.
