Super B Epsilon 12V150Ah Intended Use
The Super B Epsilon 12V150Ah Lithium Traction Battery powers a range of 12V systems, and measures in at 353 x 175 x 190mm and weighs 15.5kg. Its high discharge current and superior voltage stability under load make it ideal for motorsport teams who demand consistent power output under stress.
Beyond motorsports, this battery shines in recreational vehicles, commercial vehicles, leisure boats, commercial vessels and stationary applications where space, weight and reliability are crucial. It can be used for off-grid power supply, marine power supply or a medium for (renewable) energy storage, and its compact size and fast charging make it the perfect drop-in upgrade from bulky AGM or lead-acid systems.
Please Note: Use as a starter battery is not possible. Never install multiple Epsilon Li-ion batteries in series. Up to 8 batteries can be connected in parallel to increase the total capacity up to 1200Ah for the 12V150Ah Epsilon variant.

The integrated BMS also provides cell balancing.

How do you download the "Be In Charge" software & app?
Super B provides a Be In Charge Software tool, which can be used to read out the internal BMS system. The software uses a CAN to USB converter to connect to the communication interface. The software is capable of reading out the actual status, like battery/cell voltages and temperature, but also statistical information. Be In Charge software can also be used to update the installed firmware of the Li-ion battery. The Be In Charge software and hardware are not part of the Li-ion battery scope of delivery. Super B also provides a Be In Charge App for mobile devices such as Android and iOS. The app can be found in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Is LiFePO4 Better Than Lithium-Ion?
Super B Batteries use LiFePO4, which surpasses lithium-ion in terms of safety, boasting a longer lifespan and greater thermal stability, making it ideal for prolonged use. While lithium-ion may be initially cheaper and require less upkeep, its susceptibility to overheating poses risks.
How do you connect the Super B Epsilon Battery?
There are several ways to connect the Super B Epsilon 12V150Ah Battery, as shown in our quick start guide, but the principle remains the same. For most installations, lift both sides of the battery to expose the plus and minus terminals, and attach the relevant connector to the battery terminal. The red cable goes to the plus "+" terminal on the battery, and the black cable goes to the minus "-" terminal. Please see our terminal connectors video for more information.
How do you troubleshoot Super B Epsilon Bluetooth issues?
There are a few easy fixes to troubleshoot Bluetooth connection issues. Our Bluetooth troubleshooting video explains more:
- Check if your "Be In Charge" application is up to date. You can find updates in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Update the battery from the top-right of the "Be In Charge" app.
- Electrically disconnect and reconnect the system. Contact Super B to guide you through this procedure.
- Ensure the plus and minus cables haven't short-circuited.
- Pressing the red S1 button should allow you to connect to the battery.
- Ensure sleep mode is deactivated on your phone or tablet and that you have a steady internet connection.
