How it Works

The OTK Non-Contact Brake Position Sensor works by using a magnetic sensor to measure the movement of the brake pedal without any physical contact between moving parts. A small magnet is mounted to the brake pedal, while the sensor itself is fixed to the kart chassis. As the pedal moves during braking, the distance between the magnet and sensor changes, allowing the system to accurately calculate pedal travel. The sensor then sends this data to the Aim MyChron 6, where brake position is displayed and logged.

This allows drivers and teams to analyse braking input, consistency, trail braking, and pedal usage throughout a lap.
