Rear Axle Speed Sensor

Aim data loggers/displays can measure the wheel speed using a non-contact sensor that needs a metallic trigger to pass in front of it. The Aim Rear Axle Speed Pickup Sensor is suitable for use with the MyChron 6 and MyChron 6 2T, as well as our older MyChron Kart Dash/Data Logger models using an ACC3 (connects to the harness) or MyChron Expansion. With a cable length of 170cm and a 4-pin 712 male metal binder connector, this professional Speed Pickup Sensor is of the utmost quality and technical grade for accurate readings.

How to Install the Speed Pickup Sensor

The Rear Axle Speed Pickup Sensor has an M10 thread and is supplied with nuts to be mounted on a bracket (bracket not supplied). It is also supplied with a magnetic trigger bolt and should be installed at 3.5mm from the magnet. Install the Aim Speed Pickup Sensor by mounting it on a bracket, with an 8-20mm clearance from the magnetic collar on the rear axle. Once the sensor has been mounted, it can be connected to the MyChron Data Logging system.

Note: To better detect the speed, Aim strongly recommends using an optional rear axle collar that already includes a magnet.
