Yamaha AIM Taipan y V2 Motocross ECU Plug & Play

Thanks to its high-technology 32-bit core, the Taipan Y V2 ECU represents an important step forward to improve the performance of your motocross bike, without sacrificing reliability and smoothness.

Engine control requires precision. At 20,000 RPM, the Taipan Y V2 ECU guarantees precision of 1/10 of a degree: this means an accuracy within 0.8 microseconds (µs) for turning the spark ON.

This precision is the key to guarantee:

• A very consistent engine rotation.
• The possibility of repeating dozens of tests at the bench, always obtaining the same result.
• A perfect reactivity at every minimum change of any point of a map, resulting in more power at the wheel.

The Taipan ECU can manage up to 5 maps that can be selected both by OEM switches or even more easily by the Aim Handlebar Switch 2.

The UC Bridge is the connection between the CAN bus of the ECU and the USB port of your PC.

Once the unprogrammed Taipan Y V2 ECU has been configured with a dedicated brand or model, it cannot be changed. You will be able to modify the maps written into the ECU, but the brand or model which has been configured cannot be changed.

The Taipan Y V2 ECU has 4 connectors:

• Main Connector: Compatible with most off-road bikes.
• CAN Connector: Connects to the Handlebar Switch 2 and data logger.
• 2nd CAN Connector: Connects to the UC Bridge to communicate with the PC.
• 3rd Connector: Connects to spare analogue inputs and a possible second injector.

The Aim Handlebar Switch 2 is the best way to change the behaviour of your motocross bike. It features 4 push buttons, 11 integrated LEDs, and manages the following settings:

• Up to 5 selectable maps
• Apply fuel corrections
• Activate traction control
• Activate launch control

The Handlebar Switch 2 can also be used as a shift light module.
