The Taipan can manage up to five maps that can be selected both by OEM switches (Honda, Husqvarna, KTM) or even more easily by the Aim Handlebar Switch 2.

UC Bridge License Types

UC Bridge is available in two distinct license types:

User License

This license provides end users with essential functionalities, including:

  • Receiving engine maps from your tuner and flashing them directly to the ECU
  • Displaying system exceptions or logged issues from the ECU within the SPARK software
  • Adjusting fuel injection corrections across various RPM ranges

Tuner License

Tailored for professional tuners, this license enables full control over map creation and configuration, including:

  • Designing and modifying base maps
  • Create custom maps from scratch
  • Managing configurations to be sent and applied to the ECU

How does the Aim Taipan ECU work?

The Aim Taipan ECU is a stand-alone engine control unit designed for motocross bikes. It replaces the stock ECU and manages fuel injection and ignition by continuously processing data from sensors such as throttle position, engine temperature and crank position.

Using programmable 3D fuel and ignition maps, it determines the precise injection timing and spark advance needed for optimal performance. The ECU also handles transient conditions like rapid throttle changes and can integrate additional inputs, such as Lambda sensors or handlebar switches, for features like closed-loop fueling adjustments and map switching. This allows the engine to be precisely tuned for different conditions and performance goals.

Which motorcycle brands are compatible with the Aim Taipan ECU?

The standard Taipan ECU is compatible with a number of 4-stroke motorcycle brands, including Ducati, GASGAS, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki and KTM. The Taipan K is compatible with selected 2-stroke GASGAS, KTM and Husqvarna models, and the Taipan Y ECUs are made for selected 4-stroke Yamaha models.
