The Formula Steering Wheel 3 has been designed to work in conjunction wit the EVO4S or EVO5 loggers to display all of the real-time racing information in an efficient and easy to use interface.
Why Choose the Aim Formula Steering Wheel 3
The Aim Formula Steering Wheel 3 features a small, fully configurable graphical display that shows the data sampled by an EVO4S or EVO5 with a precise and efficient visualisation. You can keep constantly under control lap times and all values coming from the ECU, from the accelerometers and from the GPS (included in EVO4S/EVO5 kits).
Configurable LED Backlight
The screen can be backlighted in one of the seven available colors.
Individually Configurable LEDs
Six RGB shift lights can be configured for each gear, choosing LED colour and RPM threshold values which can turn it on/off.
Alarms LEDs are managed in a very flexible way: you can choose the event that generates the alarm, the LED behaviour (blinking frequency and colour) when the alarm appears, and the conditions for its switch-off.
A warning message can also be shown.
Easy Configuration
Shift Lights and Alarms are to be configured using Race Studio 3 configuration panel.
You can also select from up to 9 configurable display pages as you wish - The Formula Steering Wheel 3 swaps between these pages to show lap times and data in a 100% customisable way: just choose your data and create your pages displaying up to 8 fields each.
The "RPM and Lap Time" page layout is also available to display RPM Graph, Lap Time, and three channels of your choice.
External Functions
The Formula Steering Wheel 3 also features switch buttons to activate 4 functions among the options available in your car, such as your speed limiter, traction control, neutral, and more.
More Features
A key-data summary is available at the end of each session: the three best laps of the session with their times, min/max speed and min/max RPMs. In the following page you can also see a list of all the laps of the session.
You can also visualise the rolling time, static, or predictive lap time (as an absolute value or as a difference vs. the best lap).

How do you install a Formula Steering Wheel in a cockpit?
Regardless of which steering wheel you are most interested in, connecting the Formula 4 Steering Wheel to the vehicle’s ECU is extremely easy. Start by securely mounting the wheel to your vehicle. Once the wheel is in place, you can then connect it to the ECU using the Deutsch connector harness.
After the wheel is in place and connected, Race Studio 3 software can be used to customise display pages, alarms and shift light settings according to your preferences. Please test the setup thoroughly to ensure that all functions are working correctly.
