Aim SW4 270/280 Formula Steering Wheel

The Aim Formula Steering Wheel 270/280 has been specifically designed for professional motorsport applications. The internal data logger is fully configurable and has been developed to acquire and display data from the ECU, with over 1,000 fully compatible ECU protocols.

Our Formula Steering Wheels come in a range of sizes (270, 280, GT320 & GT350). The compact 270 and 280 versions are the ideal choice for single-seaters or sports prototypes where cockpit space is at a premium. The difference between the Formula Steering Wheel 4 270 and 280 is the overall diameter: the 280 is 10mm larger to suit different driver preferences.

The Aim SW4 270/280 Formula Steering Wheel is also fully compatible with our PDM32 via CAN communication.

Connecting the Aim 270/280 Formula Steering Wheel to your ECU is straightforward. You can choose between an Aim Harness or craft your own harness using the existing Deutsch cable connected to the module.

You can sample dozens of channels directly from the ECU using a single connection, rather than installing multiple analogue sensors.

The data sampled depends on the ECU in use, but typically includes RPM, engine load, throttle position (TPS), oil, air, and water temperatures, oil pressure, battery voltage, speed, gear, and lambda values (air/fuel ratio). The list of available ECU drivers is constantly updated and upgraded, and includes over 1,000 different ECUs.

With CAN output, you can send messages directly to an existing CAN network, enabling extended integration with other vehicle systems.

The Aim Formula Steering Wheel 4 270/280 is equipped with a high-contrast 4.3" TFT display, fully configurable and sunlight viewable. With 8 shift lights, 4 RGB alarm LEDs and an integrated ambient light sensor, the steering wheel delivers clear, precise, and reliable information directly to the driver at all times.

The Formula Steering Wheel 4 270/280 features 10 push buttons and 3 rotary switches, all backlit with RGB LEDs. It also includes removable grips, rotary switches, and a wide range of ECU and CAN connectivity options.

The Aim SW4 270/280 Formula Steering Wheel offers 8 configurable shift light RGB LEDs and 4 configurable alarm RGB LEDs. You can define conditions, colours, priorities, and flashing frequencies, as well as display accompanying text messages when required.

The advanced multi-colour RGB shift lights can be fully customised, with the option to define different shift patterns for each gear.
