AiM Taipan ECU Plug & Play Engine Control Unit

Taipan is the brand-new aftermarket plug & play ECU created by AiM, exclusively designed for off-road bikes. Thanks to its high technology 32-bit core, it represents an important step forward to improve the performance of your bike, without sacrificing reliability and smoothness.

This specific TaipanECU is unprogrammed. It can be configured for any brand or model bike you require. You will need the UC Bridge Tuner to enable this process.

Once the unprogrammed TaipanECU has been configured with a dedicated brand or model it can not be changed. You will be able to modify the maps written into the ECU but the brand or model which has been configured can not be changed.

It provides the ultimate control in feeling, ignition, ignition phase, start maps, launch control, traction control with altitude and engine temperature corrections.

High Technology 32-bit Core

Engine control requires precision. At 20,000 RPM the TaipanECU guarantees the precision of 1/10 of the degree: this means an accuracy within 0.8 uses for turning the spark ON!

This precision is the key to guarantee :

A very consistent engine rotation.

The possibility to repeat dozens of tests at the bench, always obtaining the same result.

A perfect reactivity at every minimum change of any point of a map, resulting in more power at the wheel.

UC Bridge Tuner - Optional Extra 

The UC Bridge is the connection between the CAN bus of the ECU and the USB port of your PC. 

Tuner License :

This is the Tuner that is required to configure the unprogrammed Taipan ECU.

With this license, the tuner can create different maps, configurations and strategies designed for the rider's bike. The tuner can then flash them directly onto the ECU or send them via email to allow the rider to download and install them in the ECU.

Taipan ECU Connections

The Taipan ECU has 4 connectors :

Main Connector - Compatible with most off-road bikes.
CAN Connector - Connects to the Handlebar Switch and Data Logger.
2nd CAN Connector - Connect to the UC Bridge, to communicate with the PC.
3rd Connector - Connect to spare analogue inputs and a possible second injector.

Aim Handlebar Switch - Optional Extra 

The Aim Handlebar Switch is the best way for changing the behaviour of your bike; it features 2 pushbuttons, 10 LEDs and manages the following settings :

The handlebar switch can also be used as a shift light module.
