Why Choose the SmartyCam 3 Dual
The Aim SmartyCam 3 Dual is a professional onboard motorsport system with 2 bullet cameras. It automatically powers on and off in-sync with your engine and will auto start/stop recording based on parameters you set. It saves all your information to a supported SD card for up to 2TB of data, including speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts and more.
Data from the SmartyCam 3 Dual can be analysed from a vast range of sources such as ECU information, GPS information, track map, vehicle position, speed, lap & split times. With IP65 waterproof, wobble-resistant global shutter CMOS sensor, and machined aluminium that allows the camera to withstand extreme temperatures and severe weather circumstances, your performance will hit the next level.
Video Output/Streaming
The SmartyCam 3 Dual features a video output with an SD interface. It allows you to send the video/audio directly to wherever you choose, for example your pit crew, at 30 or 60fps.
Two Video Inputs
With two video inputs, you can film from two locations on your vehicle, which can be displayed on 'Picture in Picture’ using Race Studio 3. This allows you to overlay and analyse your driving from any two angles in or out of the vehicle.
Picture in Picture
Overlay your videos with our all-new 'Picture in Picture' effect. Pick your angles and align your dual bullet cameras accordingly. In your post-race analysis in Race Studio 3, you can overlay all angles with your data and analyse from a picture-in-picture standpoint.
Automatic Track Selection
SmartyCam 3 Dual can automatically recognise which track you're on and begin mapping - if your track does not register, you can create your own custom track within Race Studio 3.
Higher Storage Capacity
Other HD cameras often chase higher pixel counts which leads to huge file sizes without much real benefit. The SmartyCam 3 Dual is different: it uses smart H.264 compression settings that keep the video quality you need while keeping file sizes small. This means you can quickly download and review footage at the track for data analysis, instead of dealing with huge cinematic files that look pretty but slow you down.
Choose between three file quality levels: One hour recording = 4GB (high quality), 2GB (normal quality) or 1.5GB (lower quality).
The SD card housing on the Aim SmartyCam 3 Dual is 100% protected from air and weathering.

Where should the SmartyCam bullet cameras be aimed?
The first bullet camera should be aimed towards the track, ideally capturing the driver's view through the windscreen pillars. The second bullet camera can be used to capture a view of the drivers pedals or the driver themselves to review the drivers focus and reaction.
Does the SmartyCam 3 Dual come with a microphone?
