Why Choose the MXT 1.3 Strada 10” Dash Display

The MXT Strada Display is an HD digital display, designed for motorsport drivers who need essential data visibility while on the track or road. The dashboard is tailored to show real time data such as speed, RPM and temperatures, but doesn't include data logging functionalities natively.

Please Note: To expand the data logging capabilities of the MX Strada series dashes, an additional Strada Logger kit is required.

Easy Connection

The MXT 1.3 Strada is available with a choice of connections. Choose either the OBDII or K-Line CAN, depending on whether you want to connect to the car's ECU or OBDII port or directly to the ECU through the CAN channel.

You can sample and display dozens of channels straight from the car’s ECU with only 2 cable connections to the ECU instead of multiple connections to analogue sensors. The sampled data depends on the actual ECU, but will typically include RPM, throttle position (TPS), oil, air, water temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, speed, gear, and lambda value (air/fuel ratio). The list of available ECU drivers is over 1,000 and is constantly being updated.

Digital Outputs

The MXT 1.3 Strada features 2x 1A-max digital outputs configurable to be activated/deactivated depending on the value of the analogue/digital inputs or on the impulses coming from the car’s ECU. This allows you to automatically run external systems, such as switching on/off additional lights, to activate/deactivate a cooling fan or circulation pumps when a certain event happens.

With CAN output, you can send messages directly to an existing CAN network to improve the range of vehicle control possibilities.

Two analogue camera inputs are also available to switch your display into a mirror camera, through a push button command or event management. The camera is sold separately.

Delta Times

The Delta Times feature provides instant feedback on your performance, showing how your current timing compares to your best.

Set a reference lap and visualise where you are gaining and losing time. The integrated lights will display green or red accordingly.

Integrated Shift Lights & Customisable Alarms

The 10 multi-coloured RGB shift lights can be customised to your liking, defining the RPM threshold on analogue or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, math channels or optional GPS option. You can choose the conditions and colours, select a solid arm or a flashing one and the flashing frequency. You can also configure an accompanying text message and set the alarm priorities.

Display with Road Icons

The MXT 1.3 Strada has a 10" TFT high contrast colour display. The visual quality is optimised by the ambient light sensor, which keeps the backlight at the best brightness levels.

Road icons allow you to apply conditions to the LED icons, such as fuel, engine, oil, lights, indication and more.

Pre-Configured Pages

The MXT 1.3 Strada shows the RPM scale and all the data you need, like speed, water temperature and oil pressure, lap times and much more. You can customise pages to suit your requirements, including up to four additional fields. Define what data is shown with the end of scale and measure units. Swapping between the pages is easy; just use the push buttons.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What does the MXT Strada do?

The Aim MXT Strada is a digital dash display that can be configured to show real time information from the car's ECU, analogue/digital inputs, predefined math channels and an optional GPS Module. It provides crucial information like speed, RPM, water temperature, and oil pressure on a high-contrast TFT screen.

What size is the MXT display?

The MXT features a 10", 1,280 x 480 pixel resolution display, making it the largest display in the MX Strada series.

What alarms can be set on the MXT Strada?

The MXT Strada comes with 6 customisable RGB LEDs, which are determined by inputs from the car's ECU or other sensors. The MXT Strada with road icons can be configured with alarms for direction lights, high beams, low beams, low fuel, low oil pressure and low oil level.

What are the best applications for the MXT Strada with road icons?

The MXT Strada with road icons is best suited to performance street cars, modified road cars and competition cars that also need to be road-legal to drive to and from a race track.

What are the differences between the MXT logger and the MXT Strada?

The main difference between the MXT logger and the MXT Strada display is that the logger version has a built-in data logger. However, a Strada Logger can be purchased for the MXT Strada, which records data to an SD card. The MXT logger also has 2 digital outputs, whereas the Strada only has 1. For a full comparison of the MX Strada Series, take a look at the comparison tab.

How do I display gear information on my MXT Strada?

Selected gear information can be sourced by gear potentiometer, ECU stream message or it can be calculated in real time by the MXT Strada through speed and RPM. Each mode requires a specific gear configuration.

How do you switch between pages on the Aim MXT Strada?

To switch pages on the Aim MXT Strada, first open our free Race Studio 3 software and then select the Page Configuration to customise each page. After choosing your selections, save your configurations and press the ">>" push button on the side of the device to switch between your pages.

How do I connect & configure my SmartyCam with MXT Strada?

To connect and configure your SmartyCam with MXT Strada, you need to connect the devices, set up the configuration in Race Studio 3, and then transmit the configuration to the device. First, ensure your SmartyCam has power and a formatted SD card. Next, launch Race Studio 3 on your PC, which will detect the devices. Then, go to the "Configurations" page to create a new configuration or edit an existing one and add the "SmartyCam Stream" layer. In this layer, you will associate the necessary functions with the channels and transmit the configuration to the device.

How do I connect my MXT Strada to my car’s engine control unit (ECU)?

Use the main harness and connect to the correct wires for your communication bus (CAN, RS232 or K-Line) by physically wiring the correct wires from your harness to the ECU's data ports and power/ground pins. Then, configure the connection in Race Studio 3 by selecting your ECU manufacturer and model under the "ECU Stream" tab.

How do I connect my MXT Strada to the car’s OBDII connector?

Use a dedicated OBDII wiring harness and configure the MXT Strada with Race Studio 3. The process involves a physical connection followed by software setup to identify your car's specific ECU protocol. More information can be found here.
